ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical and engineering information to customers.
  • Introduce new products and services to existing customers.
  • Establish new accounts by identifying potential new customers by scheduling marketing and sales visits.
  • Exhibit the relevant product knowledge to identify and provide appropriate technical solutions to clients.
  • Solve critical engineering challenges through innovative valve and instrumentation applications.
  • Identify products and equipment with potential for improvement and propose cost effective, tailored solutions with clear cost-benefit analysis to customers.
  • Work with the marketing team to prepare and present product presentations to clients.
  • Quality checking of products before handing over to customer.
  • Provide technical input for quotation purposes.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales reports.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales within the industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on manual and control valves or related equipment / instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of any of the following industries – mining, petrochemical, pulp and paper, power generation etc.
  • Experience in selling solutions and handling technical sales.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings, data sheets and other technical information.
  • Strong business development and account management skills.
  • Client-driven and customer-focused mindset.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Readiness to travel throughout South Africa and various regions of Africa.
  • Own vehicle is a must.
  • Valid passport.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric/N3 minimum.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • Technical qualification within the industry advantageous.

  • Competitive basic salary, depending on experience and expertise.
