ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical and engineering information to customers.
- Introduce new products and services to existing customers.
- Establish new accounts by identifying potential new customers by scheduling marketing and sales visits.
- Exhibit the relevant product knowledge to identify and provide appropriate technical solutions to clients.
- Solve critical engineering challenges through innovative valve and instrumentation applications.
- Identify products and equipment with potential for improvement and propose cost effective, tailored solutions with clear cost-benefit analysis to customers.
- Work with the marketing team to prepare and present product presentations to clients.
- Quality checking of products before handing over to customer.
- Provide technical input for quotation purposes.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales reports.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales within the industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience on manual and control valves or related equipment / instrumentation.
- Knowledge of any of the following industries – mining, petrochemical, pulp and paper, power generation etc.
- Experience in selling solutions and handling technical sales.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings, data sheets and other technical information.
- Strong business development and account management skills.
- Client-driven and customer-focused mindset.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license.
- Readiness to travel throughout South Africa and various regions of Africa.
- Own vehicle is a must.
- Valid passport.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Matric/N3 minimum.
- Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
- Technical qualification within the industry advantageous.
REMUNERATION
- Competitive basic salary, depending on experience and expertise.
